Three days of underground heavy, extreme and experimental music at The Baso in Belconnen. Essence Festival 2026 runs Friday 2 – Sunday 4 October, opening with "Essentia Vermis" — a pre-fest night curated by Gutter Prince Cabal — before the main two-day program takes over Saturday and Sunday. Featuring The Amenta, Suldusk, Halo of Teeth, Fuxache, Burial Pit, Lucas "Granpa" Abela and Thought Cabinet, alongside a huge cast of local and touring underground acts across three days, one venue. Essence is held on the land of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people.
